For a few years now I have been on a spiritual journey that has caused a shift in my soul.
I started to feel that as my perspective on life evolved, my purpose for taking photographs didn’t resonate with me anymore. It recently hit me that my reasons for loving photography could evolve inside me as well.
I used to take pictures in an attempt to stop time. I felt desperate to hold on to past memories, rather than living in the now. I eventually realized that I want to take pictures not for the purpose of looking back, but in an effort to celebrate the energy of the present moment. Now is all that we have. When I look back at old photographs, I don’t want to feel that bittersweet nostalgia for what used to be.I instead what to be re-inspired to find that feeling of love for what is in my present life…the connections, the joy, the love that I have today.
Come celebrate your life with me. We all have so much to be grateful for…
